The E-Mobility Business Development Manager is responsible for the automotive and battery sales pipeline in Korea as well as contributing to the global bookings success by collaborating with others in the E-Mobility Business Development team.  As the market expert in Korea, the Business Development Manager, provides the voice of the customer within Coherent’s global organization and evangelizes the value of Coherent solutions to customers.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have a long track record as a successful collaborator in matrixed, global organizations; partnering with others to enable team success.
• Extensive experience in the battery manufacturing sector, with a master-level understanding customer’s production goals and challenges; the BDM collaboratively identifies and explains how laser solutions can enable customer success.
• Responsibilities
  • Develop and track a multi-year design win plan (in Salesforce.com) by engagement with the customers’ R&D, Engineering, Business Management and Procurement teams long before formal RFQ’s are published.  Success is measured by establishing a preference for Coherent’s solutions in advance of the customer’s mass production needs.
  • Track the sales bookings plan, with the goal to assist the Korea Sales team’s success by providing market and customer insights as well as by preparing the influencers and decision makers to favor our solutions. 
  • Participate in the global effort to win the E-Mobility market by assisting with cross-regional sales coordination.
  • Work with Marketing to plan and implement projects with the purpose of generating leads; including tradeshows, conferences, webinars and account-based marketing.
  • Provide market-focused training to support all of the Coherent teams who interface with the targets; with the goal of a consistent, a global engagement that understands the customers’ needs and expectations.
